Finding strength in your weakness

To have compassion for others you must first practice compassion with yourself. It's difficult to do when so many of us live in the past, chastising ourselves for what we did wrong or how we acted poorly.
It takes courage to face ourselves and show compassion to our past actions. We did the best we could based on what we knew then. We've grown from them. Today, I read a wonderful post from The International House of Reiki that I’d like to share with you. The link is at the bottom of this post.
The post is written by a Qi Gong Master and focuses on the importance of Yin (weakness) and Yang (strength). He points out that the weaknesses we’ve experienced in the past, have given us the strength we now embrace. All our weaknesses (those experiences that hurt our hearts…and continue to cause us so much suffering) brought us to where we are today, stronger and wiser.
I’m not saying to rejoice in your weaknesses, but perhaps be more understanding of why they’re in our lives and what they’re teaching us. Be kinder to you and to your imperfect-ness.
Just for today, accept your weaknesses, be grateful in your growth and the strength you’ve gained to carry on, and then turn that compassion toward others. They may be alone in their journey. Your compassion towards them today could make this day the one that changes everything for them.
As promised here is the beautiful blog post from The International House of Reiki: https://ihreiki.com/blog/your_weakness_is_your_strength/fbclid=IwAR1x2Ups4skkIwyF7nEn24Ke5YhL5iAkDUeCX_5vV96piM2hWbCxYIrNHAM&v=7516fd43adaa
