To have compassion for others you must first practice compassion with yourself. It's difficult to do when so many of us live in the past, chastising ourselves for what we did wrong or how we acted poorly. It takes courage to face ourselves and show compassion to our past actions. We did the best we could based on what we knew then. We've grown from them. The Spirit of Spirit
I have been feeling overwhelmed lately. I thought spirit had left me alone to fend for myself. In reality I had left spirit and went off on my own. I don't really know how I fell out of spirit...mundane things in life getting in the way, overwhelming angst over what should be done/could be done/must be done, and just overall not feeling well physically. These are all excuses of course. I fell out of spirit because I allowed ego distractions to take the place of spirit. I


Be Awesome First
Mikao Usui knew that before we can be compassionate toward others we have to practice self-compassion. As we meditate on what compassion and self-compassion mean we begin to comprehend that to practice compassion we need to let go of many thoughts, actions, and negative energies that have become almost second nature to us. Working toward self-compassion then becomes a journey in itself. To be compassionate to self, let go of ideas or need for perfection. Start today and liste
