Be Awesome First

Mikao Usui knew that before we can be compassionate toward others we have to practice self-compassion. As we meditate on what compassion and self-compassion mean we begin to comprehend that to practice compassion we need to let go of many thoughts, actions, and negative energies that have become almost second nature to us. Working toward self-compassion then becomes a journey in itself.

To be compassionate to self, let go of ideas or need for perfection. Start today and listen to your negative self talk. Your subconscious mind is listening and it's replaying your thoughts over and over, chipping away at your self-worth and playing havoc with your self-care efforts. For today, allow yourself to find your true expressions. Live each day more easier on you...then go out and be the amazing compassionate person you are to others!

"Be willing to be a beginner every single morning." Meister Eckhart
