You are marvelous!

You know, it's ok to not be perfect. To not know what you want to do with your life, no matter your age. I've spent many minutes, hours, days, weeks, months, and years, berating myself because I just could NOT “settle” for one thing.
I had SO MANY interests. I felt I must be weird or at least abnormal compared to what I was seeing in the world: everyone working hard at their jobs/careers, or retired from jobs/careers and enjoying their retirement. Although retired, I still couldn’t stop myself from wanting to continue this searching path I was on!
Now with only a decade or two remaining in my life, I understand why all my interests have been geared toward a metaphysical need of knowing, on a spiritual level, who I am and why I’m here. I know, without a doubt, that my path is to serve others on their own journey of discovery.
Life is a cycle…we learn, we grow, we evolve…we start again from our new point of awareness and then move on to our next level of growth and learning…and then begin again. It’s a rich experience that continuously moves us into infinite possibilities.
I’m imperfect, I get it…but I also know on some grand level, I’m actually quite marvelous…which is better than perfect. It’s unique to me. My path has taken me on so many detours and alternate paths that I have created a significant treasure trove of experiences and knowledge to bring to other travelers on their own spiritual quests. The only thing that weakens me is the ever-fearful ego.
For those of you who have read The Four Agreements, you are familiar with the shaman, Don Jose Ruiz. He writes that shamans call this (ego) voice the “parasite,” spreading negativity throughout our gentle souls. To me, this is a perfect name for ego…as it is so insidious at times. This parasite lives in all human beings. So, lucky us as humans, we are unique in our ego-ness.
Anyway…just want you to know if you’re “all over the place” and don’t know where you fit, you’re not alone and you’re not weird. You just want more than the average person. I urge you to take the metaphysical route more and more. There are great lessons to be learned and new paths to take…and if you need a guide along the way, I’m here.
Sending you strength and encouraging you to trust whatever journey you are on. And to remind you…you’re pretty marvelous just the way you are too.
