Looking Within

I've spent years fretting about my life's purpose. Wondering just what exactly my passion might be. Unable to answer that dreaded question, "if you knew absolutely that you could not fail, what would you do/be"? Now, with more years behind me than ahead of me, I'm accepting what I believe to be true.

Consider this: what if we took away the words purpose, passion, life path, & bliss and just focused on developing our best self? What if our true purpose is to strive to be the best we can be in this lifetime? What if that was the meaning to life? Would you feel any less anxious, knowing that you didn’t have to worry about living your life’s purpose or trying to decipher your passion or not following your bliss? What if by creating a positive outlook and expanding our vibration outward was all that was expected of us? What if knowing this to be true, we understand that if we can help others, it is through our own vibrations that attract them to us...instead of us racing around trying to find those who need our help?

I think many of us feel that time spent in inward contemplation is selfish. We should be "doing" something physical...anything but live in our thoughts! What if we understood that it is in those moments of silent meditation we are really "doing" our life's work? What if we knew, without any doubt, that by developing our best self we can attain our greatest achievements?

What if that's really what life is about?

“We carry inside us the wonders we seek outside us.” Rumi
